Once an old barn, now it’s a delightful independent house newly restored in 2003. It is situated at the outskirt of a small town just 25 km South of Siena. The town offers facilities, services and restaurants. There is also a restaurants that allows public use of its swimming pool, just paying a cheap ticket. Murlo with its important Etruscan museum is at 2 kms. There is a bus service connecting the village with Siena, Monteroni d’Arbia and Buonconvento. Montalcino is 15 kms away. This is an ideal location for those wishing to immerse themselves in the character and local life and who prefer not to drive all the time. The house is at the end of a narrow street, overlooking the Tuscan countryside. The access is through a private gate that leads to its raised garden furnished with table and chairs for dining out. A medium-sized car can be parked in the lower garden. Larger cars will need to be left in the public parking spaces a few hundred metres away. There are two private entrances to the house: one is from the roadside, and the second is down four steps from the garden. This entrance is directly into the open-plan living/dining room with fireplace. To the left of the dining area and up two steps is the fully equipped kitchen with gas range, electric oven, fridge with freezer and dishwasher. Between the fireplace and the kitchen, up one step is a narrow hallway that leads to a Wc where a washing machine is located. To the left of the living area a fight of stairs leads to the first floor. On the fist floor, there is a bathroom with shower stall (narrow door); one double bedroom with a queen size bed; a small twin bedded room (double on request) The house is comfortably furnished with modern and antique pieces, cotto floors and wood beamed ceilings. Central heating and firewood during heating season are payable upon use. There is satellite TV.
The price include: the use of the apartments with domestic appliances, water, gas, electricity, linen changed weekly and final cleaning.
To pay on the premises: in winter central heating upon use € 3,50 per cubic meter.
