“Casali in Val di Chio”, is situated in the Valley of Chio, a small uncontaminated valley in the heart of Tuscany in the Medival town of Castiglion Fiorentino. Here, the strong ties to tradition have helped preserve the beauty of the territory.
Our Agricultural Firm is composed of three “Casali”, groupings of farm houses spread out in the hills off the valley and our Reception hub centrally located at the original farm homestead of the family. Today not only does it serve as a place to great our guest but it also houses our wine cellar, and packaging laboratory for our products; wine and olive oil.
The “Casali”, Villa La Guardata, Borgo S. Stefano, Borgo Gaggioleto and Villa S. Martino, have proudly kept the original names given to them when construction began in the XIII century. Restructured with all respect to their original characteristics, these charming and tastefully furnished “Casali” offer our guests the possibility of relaxing in the beautiful pool side gardens while enjoying the marvellous views that surrounds them.
Borgo Gaggioleto is a group of houses on the est side of the Valle di Chio on a hill at about 400 mt above sea level. These houses are included in an old built-up area.
It consist of :
- 2 independent cottages, IL FIENILE and LA CAPANNA
- a big house divide into 2 apartment LA CASA ROSA 1 and 2 with 2 independent entrance
- a historic building in the middle of the borgo divided into 2 apartments LA PALAZZINA 1 and 2
Borgo Gaggioleto is surrounded by a large green area where our guests will find marked hiking paths. The swimming pool is situated in a panoramic position surrounded by an olive grove at about 150 meters from the houses. The swimming pool is 15 mt x 8 mt and there is a “massage” area for 8 guests.
Each unit is equipped with television, laundry area, dish washer, fridge, electric owen, and hair dry
Il Fienile
It is a spacious cottage with a private garden. Suiteble for 4 + 2 and 100 sqm. The swimming pool is 200 meters from the house and can be reached it by a path in the green area of Borgo Gaggioleto.
Ground floor: ample well equipped kitchen with fire place and wood oven, living room with sofa bed, bathroom and laundry area with washer
First floor: 1 master bedroom with private bathroom and equipped with a bathtub, 1 master bedroom with a bathtub and a private bathroom with a shower .
Prices include:
VAT, electricity, gas, water, bed linen and towels, use of the swimming pool, weekly change of linen and towels, final cleaning
