“Casali in Val di Chio”, is situated in the Valley of Chio, a small uncontaminated valley in the heart of Tuscany in the Medival town of Castiglion Fiorentino. Here, the strong ties to tradition have helped preserve the beauty of the territory.
Our Agricultural Firm is composed of three “Casali”, groupings of farm houses spread out in the hills off the valley and our Reception hub centrally located at the original farm homestead of the family. Today not only does it serve as a place to great our guest but it also houses our wine cellar, and packaging laboratory for our products; wine and olive oil.
The “Casali”, Villa La Guardata, Borgo S. Stefano, Borgo Gaggioleto and Villa S. Martino, have proudly kept the original names given to them when construction began in the XIII century. Restructured with all respect to their original characteristics, these charming and tastefully furnished “Casali” offer our guests the possibility of relaxing in the beautiful pool side gardens while enjoying the marvellous views that surrounds them.
Borgo Santo Stefano was a small farming homestead constructed around the 1850. It is situated in a panoramic position on the hill of Santo Stefano looking unto the entire Valley of Chio and only 7 km from the town of Castiglion Fiorentino. It is composed of the original farm house and barn. With the restructuring work finished in 1998, the farm house was divided into two charming apartments, Casa Fufigna 1 e 2, and a small independent villa, Il Granaio. The entire Borgo is surrounded by a well design garden that permits each unit to have private spaces outside, as well as, being able to share the swimming pool 8 m X 5 m which is centrally located together with a large stone barbeque. The Borgo also offers its guests covered parking for 3 cars. While Borgo Santo Stefano can be rented out as individual units, it can also be requested as a single villa for a large family or group sleeping 12 to 16 guests.

Ground Floor is composed of a living room with a sofa bed, fireplace, television and telephone; well equipped ample kitchen with an electric oven, fridge, dishwasher; dining room; 1 bedroom with 2 single beds; bathroom with shower, laundry area with washing machine and independent heating for the apartment. Guest can go up a wood staircase from the living room to reach the First Floor were the master bedroom and private bathroom with bath tub is locate. From the master bedroom one can go directly down to the garden by using its private exterior stone staircase. The outside garden provides an ample private area with a table seating 4/6 people.
