Un Sogno
UN Sogno is a house you would rarely find along the coast.
Most of the houses along the coast have a dreary interior and
not very cosy at all. Un Sogno is therefore very special.
The owner Bruno and his son Luigi have a great affection for
all things nice which becomes clear as soon as you enter the
house. When you drive upwards in the narrow street you will
have a nice surprise by the beautiful view of the garden and the
sea. When you reach the hill you can leave your car in your own
parking place. At least no parking problems here!!
Via a few steps you reach a small courtyard (cortile interno)
with a lovely sitting area, there is no view to the sea from here,
but surrounded by the beautiful greenery of the garden, a pleasure
to be able to sit in a cool place after a hot day. Here is also the
barbeque and on the wall of the terrace a garden shower if you
need more cooling off. If you feel in a sporty mood you can play
tabletennis.
After all this you enter the house. There is one bedroom with two
single beds and a bedroom with a double bed and after that the
bathroom. Around the corner is a livingroom with a comfortable
double sleeping couch. It's a very private place and by night you
can see through the windows Castiglione della Pescaia with the
binoculars. Via a galerie you come to the real livingroom, with its
tasteful and cosy interior, fireplace, a rarity in houses along the
coast, a luxury for the lesser warm days!!
On this floor is also the kitchen/dining room with a fantastic view
of the garden and the sea. From the livingroom you come to the
terrace which has garden furniture. The view from here is like a
picture-postcard!!
A few steps down is the lower garden with two sunbeds.
On the lowest floor live Bruno and his wife Giovanna only during
the summer months. If you spent your holiday here and get to know
these people you will experience the fantastic hospitality of people
as you only find in Italy.
