Surrounded by thousands of olive trees, this property is located at the entrance to the Chianti region along the "Chiantigiana" road connecting the historical and cultural triangle of Florence, Siena and Arezzo. The recent and excellent restoring has brought back to life two enchanting villages: Il Poggio and Il Borgo which comprise apartments of various sizes, each with its own outside dining area, a Hotel located in the old Manor House, a restaurant that specializes in typical Tuscan cuisine, a bar, a small church and a shop that sells typical local produce. The restaurant is open in the evenings and for pre-booked lunches. Furthermore, there’s a Conference Centre for up to 100 people and a small gym. All the above facilities are snugly enclosed in a vast park which also boasts two splendid swimming pools (25 metres x 12.50 and 10 metres x 8) and a playground for children. The property is surrounded by the countryside and offers both the breathless natural beauty of the area with easy links to the main art centres of Tuscany (roughly 50 km from Florence, 38 km from Siena and 45 km from Arezzo). It is also possible to visit highly acclaimed wine cellars to sample their Chianti wine. Among those, in the direct vicinity, is the beautiful Abbey of Badia a Coltibuono. For those interested in fashion shopping, the famous outlets of Prada, Gucci, Armani and Dolce and Gabbana are all nearby. A horseback-riding centre is just 2 km far from the property.
Il Poggio - This cosy village was recently and carefully restored taking care to maintain the original architectural forms that are typical to Tuscany. The names given to the apartments are those of the aromatic plants of the local countryside. There are eleven apartments in total. All apartments have their own space to eat outside well equipped with garden furniture. Inside every apartment you will find Satellite TV and private telephone. They are all spacious and airy with plenty of light coming in. The kitchen is well equipped with fridge/freezer, microwave and hob. The large swimming pool (10 x 8 metres- 1.30/1.70 mts deep) is situated in a splendid natural setting and boasts spectacular views. BBQ is provided for all guests next to the pool.
